On Friday mornings, we have been learning all about different features in music, including beats, rhythm, pitch and tempo. We have had a go at writing our own music using instrument symbols and performing in small groups. Last week we decided to have a go at putting all those skills together and making our own soundtrack to go with a section of a Tom and Jerry cartoon. This was really fun and everyone did a great job of thinking about the right type of sounds and incorporating changes to the tempo and pitch.
