In year 3 we are studying the Georgraphy and History of the local area and finding out how the landscape is used. In order to do this we had to walk around the local area and investigate how the land was used.
We put our coats and hats on in the cold, windy Novemeber and enthusiastically explored Waddington and Greythorn Drive. Using our clipboards, we sketched the surrounding buildings and landscapes from an aerial view, creating a detailed map and including a key to make it easier to read.
Once we were back at school, we discussed what we had found out and added any extra detail to our maps.We talked about how the land was used and how it had changed over time.
