Children will be visiting Beaumanor Hall in Leicestershire for a special WWII day.  The hall is a Victorian Country House which was used as a secret listening station during the war to intercept encrypted enemy signals.  There are lots of different activities including decoding, rationing and air raids to support the children's learning about this period.

We will be leaving school at 9.15am and returning to school approximately 3.20pm. The children will need a packed lunch and drinks must be in an unbreakable beaker. We would like the children to dress in 1940s style if possible if not they should wear their school uniform. A waterproof coat should be brought in case of wet weather.
