Y3 Trip to Cresswell Crags

This week, the children went to Cresswell Crags to learn more about the Stone Age and how people lived. They had the opportunity to go inside a real Stone Age cave that people lived in and where animal bones have been found by archaeologists. The children were also able to practice their Stone Age survival skills, by throwing spears at a reindeer, building their own dens from sticks and branches and learning how the early humans made a fire. The enthusiasm that the children showed made the day so enjoyable and they were able to take a lot away from the experience.
