Last night, the Heymann Girls football team played against Bispham Drive Junior School in the first round of the County Cup. It was an extremely tense game and the girls played incredibly well as a team. They had quite a few supports helping them along the way such as Mr Hill, Mr Arch and Madame Cameron and they were not disappointed. Heymann were first to get a goal in the back of the net but then shortly after Bispham equalised. This ping-pong effect of goal scoring carried on until the game was 3-3. The girls were so determined and didn't stop until the final whistle went and thankfully the game ended with the girls winning 4-3. Both sides showed real resilience and team work and should be really proud of themselves. We will keep you posted on how they get on in the next round.
