Heymann Green Group are a small but dedicated group of pupils and staff who are passionate about our school grounds, sustanable living, recycling and growing food. There are children from each class - we meet every week and feed back Eco-issues to our classes.
We’ve looked at what Heymann do well and what we don't do so well and are writing an action plan.
This term our focus is litter and recycling – do you know we already have recycle bins for; paper, plastic, metal, batteries, spectacles, milk lids, pens, stamps and clothes.
The gardending club also looks after our school allotment, growing a wide variety of crops
At the end of last term, the gardening club picked their crops. They set up a stall and sold their produce to the parents of Heymann. They made £23.80 which will go towards new seeds for next year. We’ll done gardening club and thank you for the help of Mrs Handley and Mr Cropley.
