Heymann Primary & Nursery School

Inspiring and motivating our children
to be the best they can be

Hello all,

We hope that you enjoyed your Easter Egg challenge and managed to collect lots of eggs! Now we are back to collecting stars by completing different activities on your home learning mats.

As it is now the start of Summer term we will be introducing a new topic - Field to Fork. This topic will include where food comes from, ways that we can use food and how food is packaged. Over the next few weeks, we will have activities related to this topic on your home learning mats. Below you will find your mat and the accompanying sheets. How many stars will you collect this week?

Remember you can also take a look on our main page to find lots of useful links to other websites to help with reading, maths, science and more. We have seen that many of you have been logging on to Numbots and challenging yourselves with different maths activities which is brilliant! You can also click on the 'stories to enjoy' tab to listen to stories with Miss Johnston and practice using your VIPERS dogs, or the 'phonics at home' tab to practice your phonemes with Miss Cash!

Thank you to everyone that sent us pictures over the last 2 weeks. We have all loved seeing what you have been getting up to at home and looking at the wonderful work you have been doing. If you would like to send us your pictures for the blog (or even just to say hi) then use this email address: year1-teachers@heymann.notts.sch.uk

Hoping that you are all safe and well,

The Year 1 team x
