Heymann Primary & Nursery School

Inspiring and motivating our children
to be the best they can be

Monday 4th May 2020

Thank you to all of those who joined our class zoom calls last week. We loved seeing all of your faces! As a reminder, 6T’s call is at 1pm on Tuesday, 6L’s call is at 6pm on Tuesday and 6P’s call is at 10am on Friday. Please join us this week where we will aim to discuss your Shakespeare learning so far (feel free to share your artwork, facebook page, Globe activities or just tell us about your learning).

We have set a new homeworking mat for this week with many tasks – one is a 2 week task so try to spread your learning on this. We hope you enjoy the activities and look forward to seeing your photos (don't forget to send a photo for the Heymann blog to and hearing whether you achieved your 20 stars.

In addition, we have separately attached COVID-19 time capsule sheets which you might like to dip into and complete some of – we are living through history right now so it would be fantastic to document this important time in your life!

Also, from now on, each week we will be sending out a 'Picture News' which is a current News story with an image and a question for you and your children to read, listen, share and discuss at home. The questions encourage children to discuss and form their own opinions. This week's Picture News is all about Colonel Tom Moore and his amazing achievements for our National Health Service. There are 2 useful links to videos to watch.

We hope you are enjoying listening to ‘Wonder’. Two new chapters will continue to be uploaded every day. Miss Bussey and Ms Nash are certainly enjoying reading it for you!

Take care year 6

If you would like to share a video please send them via our year 6 teachers e mail and we will share with everyone to stay connected and keep us all smiling .
