Today was Drive In Movie day in Reception! The children had lots of fun decorating their vehicles at home with their families. We were amazed by all the different vehicles. The children chose the film they wanted to watch in either Screen 1, Screen 2 or Screen 3. Then we collected our popcorn and enjoyed the film!
Thank you for all your support in this and throughout the year.
It has been so sunny this week at school! We have tried to keep cool by drinking lots of water, wearing our sun hats and paddling our feet in cold water!
We had a visit from some beekeepers on Wednesday. Eleni's Grandparents came to tell us all about bees and how to look after them.
We learned about how honey is made and we even got to try some. It was delicious!
Reception had a great day at Sports Day last week. We moved round the carousel of activities including long jump, egg and spoon and hurdles.
We even had a go at some running races at the end.
We all had a fantastic day trying out new activities. Thank you to everyone who came to cheer us on!
The Road Safety Team from Notts County Council came to school on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th February. The trainers were great at helping us use the balance bikes. Look at us go!
We had a visit from the Cat's Protection Charity! We learned about how to look after cats, and lots of interesting facts about cats. Do you know why cats have whiskers? Ask the children - they are experts now!
The children loved showing their grandparents around the reception unit.
During our week looking at Superheroes in the community we invited the police for a visit.
Helen from Sprouts Theatre Group came to visit this week with free taster sessions.
Do you recognise these superheroes?!
Diwali Day with nursery was a great success.
Each week we will post the timetable for the week. You will also find this on your child's classroom outside door.
We used lots of colourful resources to create bonfire night movement to music.
We had fun today in and out of the classroom following a maths trail.
The children have been busy making their own pizzas to support the concept of adding when combining two different toppings.
We wrote shopping lists before to know what we needed to buy. We discussed how we were going to make the pizzas before we made them, using the future tense. We then talked about how we made them afterwards, using the past tense.
We hope you enjoyed eating the pizzas at home!
