This week has been so exciting because we have been learning all about each other's cultures and discussing what makes them unique. We loved hearing everyone's stories from their culture and loved it even more turning these stories into videos using Puppet Pals. We had to work really well in teams and all played a part from drawing the characters to orally retelling the story.
Also, we have designed and made our cultural rucksacks which was very enjoyable. All the children really took their time and thought carefully about what represented their culture and identity. On Friday, we did a circle time where everyone got to share their favourite thing from their back. We have loved learning new things about each other.
During this week we have been investigating different types of soils and working out which soil a farmer would prefer. We learnt 2 new important words; permeable and impermeable. In our experiment we found out clay soil was impermeable as it didn't let any water through and pear soil was permeable because it lets lots of water through.
