Yesterday, in history, we were learning why the pyramids were such an amazing achievement! We discussed that at the time the pyramids were being built in Egypt, in Britain it was the Stone Age and how to make a fire was only just being discovered!
For our demonstration, we turned the tables upside down and had as many children as possible on them; some of the other children tried to pull them along. This represents the stones that were pulled to build the pyramids. We had to try so hard to pull the tables - we can't imagine what it would actually be like to build a pyramid, but this helped us understand!
