On Tuesday 26th April we had the pleasure of attending the National Holocaust Centre to support our RE learning. We were taken on a journey of a Jewish boy called Leo and learnt how his life changed over time. We saw artefacts from actual survivors and spotted people we had learnt about. After lunch we heard from an actual survivor and asked him questions about his experience. To end our visit we all laid a stone on a memorial for the lost children of the Holocaust. This was very moving and we all felt very grateful for our lives and sad for what had happened. Our guide Jan was so impressed with our knowledge and Ms Nash and Luke could not have been prouder of your respectfulness and empathy throughout the day.
