We have enjoyed a super week in year 5: we started our first fiction story based talk for writing unit, 'Alien Landing' and loved acting out our story maps. In maths, we have moved on to rounding and in science, we have investigated more properties of materials - the children have been working scientifically so sensibly and impressing all of the teachers. For our biomes topic, we have focused on deserts this week - making sure that the children know what makes a desert a desert.
