We have arrived in Monaragala and visted out link school for the first time, Mo/Mahanana Primary School. There was an amazing welcome ceremony for us. They had made a Heymann flag which we had to hoist whilst God Save The Queen played. There was a marching band and a stage set up and various cultural dances were performed. We met all the teachers and had a tour of the school. It was very very hot. There has been monsoon rain this afternoon which has cooled things down to a humid 29 degrees. There are both similarities and differences between our schools. Tomorrow we are showing the children films that Heymann children have made. Hopefully the children in Sri Lanka are going to have a go at making some films to share with you on the iPad we have brought with us.
