Today we arrived at school in a tuk tuk at 7.20am for assembly. Outside of school was as busy as the start of our school day with children getting off buses, being dropped off on motorbikes,in tuk tuks and cars. Assembly was outside. After assembly the whole school did an exercise class and then went to their classrooms for breakfast. Each day a different parent from each class brings in breakfast for the class to eat. We watched a Year 5 lesson on shape which was really good and similar to our maths lessons. Although there are no interactive whiteboards. There is only one laptop in the school and one computer which is in the school office. We showed the children the films that Heymann children had made and then they have had a go at making some on the iPad that we brought with us. Tomorrow we are going to help them to edit their films. We went to one of the Buddhist temples this afternoon and met two boys aged 12 and 13 years old who were training to be monks. Tonight one of the teachers invited us to her house for dinner with her family which was really kind of her. It was delicious. We have another early start tomorrow.
