Heymann Girls football team headed to Cotgrave to play Candleby lane yesterday. 

It was the first round of the Cup so we didn't know what to expect, but we had a positive attitude. The girls were well wrapped up for the winter weather and luckily the rain held off. 

Candleby had a strong start scoring 2 goals early on but Heymann came fighting back strong and managed to equalise with 2 great goals from Nancy. This panicked Candleby lane and left them fighting for more goals, Heymann's defence putting on a strong show. 

Unfortunately, Candley striker managed to get past our defence, scoring another 3 goals. The game finished 5-2 but Heymann girls did not give up and fought till the end.
