Welcome back Year 2 to a new week of home learning!
We hope everybody has had a relaxing weekend. The Year 2 teachers loved seeing you on Zoom everyday last week, thank you so much to all of you for joining in so well and for all of your hard work so far! Below you will find this week's suggested timetable to show you what to do this week and the separate tabs down the right hand side of this page will take you to the work and resources for each subject. As always, please do not put any pressure on yourselves. You can only do what you can do! If you need support with anything please email us at email@example.com.
Monday - Friday, 10.30am-11.15am. Group A will be taught by Miss Whitney this week and Group B will be taught by Miss Kavanagh. Children in school will be taught by Miss Handley. Our focus on zoom this week will be English. On Friday we will have our weekly quiz!
Please submit by 8pm and teachers will return feedback by 3pm the next day (Monday for work submitted on Friday)
Thank you to those choldren who submitted assignments to us on Teams last week. This week the assignments to be submitted are:

Tuesday - No assignment
Wednesday - Maths

Please make sure you select View Assignment before submitting. Below is a document explaining how you can use an iPhone/iPad as a scanner if that is easier.
Bug Club Reading
Don't forget that children can now access an online library system called Bug Club. Teachers will set each child a new book to read every week. It will be available by each Monday. The books are colour-banded and will be allocated based on the book band your child was reading before Christmas. There is more information about Bug Club at the bottom of this page. Children can login using their TEAMs username and password. If you are asked for the school code it is heym . The website address is https://www.activelearnprimary.co.uk/login?c=0
We know you all love a scavenger hunt so if you are able to get outdoors, why not have a go at spotting some winter wildlife! If the weather doesn't allow you to do that however, there are some brilliant indoor play ideas that you can have a go at, at home. Documents for both are at the bottom of this page.
Take care and keep smiling,
Miss Handley, Miss Whitney and Miss Kavanagh
