Hi 3P,

Last week of isolation! This week at school is Community Cohesion week so some of our activities are based around this theme this week.

For Community Cohesion week, the theme is poetry so all year groups are going to be looking at different types of poetry. In year 3, we are looking at a Haiku and we are going to be writing our own and then performing them for a loved one who we miss and maybe can't be with us at the moment. Also, we are going to be doing some art around Community Cohesion week. We are using the photographer Doma Dovgialo to inspire some of our work. You will need a photograph of yourself and then around the outside you will draw things you miss doing/seeing/experiencing.

Maths is carrying on from last week and we are starting to look at written methods of subtraction. There are challenges for each lesson so see if you can push yourself onto these.

Towards the end of the week, we are starting to look at our new English focus which is Theseus and the Minotaur. Your job for this week is to learn the myth really well by acting it out and we will start looking at the different characters from the myth.

There are lots of other activities to keep you going this week such as dance, geography, art and Spanish.

Each morning we will start with a class zoom session at 9.15am, just the same as last week. I am feeling better so I am going to be doing these zoom sessions. Also, each day there is a teams assignment to hand in so I can see what you've all been up to.

I look forward to seeing all your smiley faces on zoom.

I hope you all had a good weekend.

Best wishes,
