This week's books are focusing on the ai ee igh oa and oo phonemes. We are also continuing to get help from Victor Vocabulary to encourage children to learn the meaning of new and interesting words. 

The Key Words PowerPoints have all of the important words that the children will need to know from each book. See if you can spot Victor and ask your child if they remember the meaning of the word he is next to. Do they remember how it was used in the book? Can they use it in a sentence? 

Our VIPERS focus is Victor Vocabulary. If your child has fluently read their home-school reading book then you could ask them some of the questions from the VIPERS reading questions (on the main guided reading page).
