Heymann Primary & Nursery School

Inspiring and motivating our children
to be the best they can be

Hello everyone,

How did you get on with your activities last week? Which was your favourite and why? Did you collect all 20 stars?

This week your home learning mat is going to look slightly different. There are some new instructions on the top of it which only affect the children returning to school. Any activity with a blue background will be something your child will complete at school. The work on your mat will be carrying on from last week with more activities based around the book ‘Handa’s Surprise’ and the continent of Africa.

For your at-home PSHE activity on your mat, you can use the PDF's entitled 'how to be a good friend', 'how to help' and 'standing up for what is right' to help your discussions.

All of your teachers are so proud of the hard work that you have all been doing at home and we hope that you can keep it up – well done everyone!

Don’t forget to send your entry for the Chris Cohen football challenge to steven.hill@heymann for your chance to win!

If you want to share any pictures of your activities at home for us to put on the blog keep sending them to year1-teachers@heymann.notts.sch.uk as we love to see all of the brilliant things you have been doing!

Best wishes
