Heymann Primary & Nursery School

Inspiring and motivating our children
to be the best they can be

***LAST CALL for photos of children in school uniform to be used to create a virtual class photo. These need to be with us by Monday evening at the latest. Even if you haven't sent us a photo, you must let us know if you do not want your child to be in the finished picture.***

Hello Year 2!

We hope you enjoyed the sun last week. It was so hot!

This week we are learning all about another very important nurse, Mary Seacole. Check out the tab on the side for lots of links to find out more information about her.

Have you been enjoying Miss Anderson reading 'Planet Omar: Accidental Trouble Magnet'? If you have, there are more chapters up on our story page. We love it!

Active Notts have put together some simple dance routines based on different places and countries around the world. Each routine is easy to follow and lasts approximately ten minutes, including a simple warm up. This week the dances are inspired by Egypt. Have look and see if you can learn some new moves this week! https://www.activenotts.org.uk/dance-around-the-world

Or, if you fancy having a sing-along instead, have a go at joining in with the Makaton for the song "What a wonderful world." The lyrics are at the bottom of this page. This song always makes us feel happy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GR5SGQ5zys

We hope you have another great week of home learning. Don't forget to check the homework on teams and submit it by Wednesday evening ready for marking. Keep sending your photos in for the blog too. We love to see them!

Have a fantastic week everyone :)
