We hope you had a fantastic Easter break and are ready for all of the exciting things we will be learning this half-term.
Please remember to return your child's "About Me" red book, so we can add some more work from school and give you some new ideas of activities you can try at home with them. We love looking at all the wonderful things you do with them at home.
Here are a few things we are doing this half-term and the skills we are working towards. Don't forget to look at the challenge sheet each week to find out more about the activities the children will be doing.
We are building on the children's spelling skills and are going to write short sentences to go with stories and facts for information and also to describe pictures. The children are learning to write independently and persevere with their writing.
This half-term is all about improving our knowledge and skills about numbers and their composition to 20. We are also building on the children's ability to add and take away using objects and recording. We will also look at doubling and sharing.
We will be re-telling the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, people who help us and learning all about mini-beasts and some of their life cycles. We will have our own caterpillars which we will watch as they change into butterflies.
Keep checking this page along with the school newsletter for weekly updates.
We are excited to have Lion Learners visiting this term. Please contribute if possible so we can give the children even more interesting experiences.
