Monday 15th June
We hope everyone is well. It has been lovely to see the children that have been back in school and equally we hope those of you that are not have continued to enjoy the work that we have been setting on the mat. As with last week, if you are in school at all please don't complete any of the yellow highlighted tasks until you have been in and if you are at home, work through the mat as best you can and in any order that you like.
In addition, this week sees the launch of an exciting new home learning feature that you have all been emailed about. Every week, two pieces of home learning will be tasks based on a teaching video and you will have the opportunity to send in the completed work via Microsoft Teams. This will allow your teachers to see the work and also offer feedback on what you have done. We might sometimes mark it like we would in school or even leave you a little audio message about your work. We really hope that you enjoy this new feature and we look forward to seeing the work that you produce. However, we are also aware that not everyone may have access to use this system so you can send the work to the year 6 email if you are not able to do so on Microsoft Teams. firstname.lastname@example.org
Below are the two teaching videos. As well as being available on the website they are also available for you to watch through your login on Microsoft Teams. The first one is a continuation of the English work on The Day the Crayons Quit (if you didn't see the first lesson it is on last week's page) and the second one is the start of an ongoing piece of work on Biographies.
We hope you are still enjoying listening to ‘Wonder’. Two new chapters continue to be uploaded every day and we have the DVD ready to watch in school once we have finished the book.
Please also find below the latest 'Picture News' for you to read, listen, share and discuss at home. This week's Picture News is all about Managing Our Money.
Take care year 6
