Heymann Primary & Nursery School

Inspiring and motivating our children
to be the best they can be

Hello Year 4! We hope you are all doing well. Here is your list of new activities for the week.

On this week's homeworking mat, we are continuing with A Midsummer Night's Dream in English and asking you to choose a character and write a character description about them. In geography, we are continuing on our New York theme and in history we are going to start to learn more about the Vikings by creating a timeline. We have a new set of words for you to learn for this week's spelling and we would like you to continue to practise your handwriting and French. Madame Cameron has also sent us a powerpoint with a few Spanish words for you to learn!

From now on, your Maths tasks will be available on the White Rose Maths website. Please follow the link on the homeworking mat and make sure you start at Week 1 - (NOT Week 1 Summer) - for Lesson 1: Recognise Tenths and Hundredths. Please watch the video first, pausing it when you are asked, and then complete the worksheet. Please try to complete all the lessons for the week along with the daily arithmetic.  We have set homework on MyMaths as usual.

We also have a new reading app, SORA, which can be downloaded and you can choose a book to read from there, or you can choose to read from the Scholastic website which you should have received details about separately.

Please keep emailing your fantastic photos to us at year4-teachers@heymann.notts.sch.uk We are loving seeing what you have been up to.

Lastly, we really hope you can join our Zoom meeting during the week so we can see your smiling faces and catch up on what you have been doing!

Love from Miss Goswami, Mrs Jenkins and Mr Murray
