Heymann Primary & Nursery School

Inspiring and motivating our children
to be the best they can be

Hello Year 2!

We hope you all had a great half term. Did you enjoy the local project that we set? I wonder what exciting information you found out about your local area!

We are very excited to say that our Zoom meetings will go ahead as usual again this week. There isn't a specific focus for this week's meeting. It is a general catch up for the children to see their friends and share one thing that they have been doing in half term.

Don't forget to send in your photos to year2-teachers@heymann.notts.sch.uk so that your friends can see what you have been up to at home when we update the blog on a Friday afternoon. We only got one photo over half term- everyone was obviously outside enjoying the sunshine! So we'll save that to add to the photos we get this week.

Remember to keep listening to Miss Whitney read Danny the Champion of the World, there aren't many more chapters left now and it is getting very exciting!

Check the Picture News tab on the right hand side of the Year 2 webpage for a new topic to discuss at home. This week it is all about Jobs. We'd like you to think about why do people choose the jobs that they do?

Well done for all of your continued hard work and enthusiasm at home, we think you are all doing an absolutely brilliant job! As well as the activities on the mat, don't forget you can also log in to MyMaths, Scholastic Reading Pro, Chess Kids, Fitter Futures and Letter Join!

We look forwards to hearing from you soon.

Keep smiling!
