This week would normally be our school Community Cohesion Week where we would invite grandparents to visit school on the Friday. As we are unable to do that this year we have been thinking of other ways to celebrate grandparents and other important people in the lives of the children. Look out for a special poem coming home this week.

This is the last week of introducing phase 2 phonemes to the children. Please continue to help your child recognise them, blend them in simple words and begin to write them. Don't forget you can use letterjoin to help with cursive letter formation.

Book of the week: The Gruffalo

English concepts: poetry and sequencing

Maths concepts: number of the week 10, find and know one more than a number to 5 and beyond

Communication and Language: we will be talking about things we are looking forward to when things return to normal.

Creative: mask making, animal painting, learning songs for the Nativity show.

PE: learning dances for the Nativity show

Understanding the World: looking at our local environment and the sorts of buildings we can see and places we can go.
