Sci-tech week

The whole school is involved with sci-tech week. This year Reception are being involved too and we will be teaching the children how to make paper aeroplanes, looking at design and how long they can stay in the air.

Below are some attachments for additional activities you might like to try at home.

In school this week.....

English focus: This is our last week on our "Talk for Write" theme of Jack and the Beanstalk. The children will be having a go at independent writing - writing a short part of their own story. They will focus on who climbs the beanstalk and what they see at the top.

Maths focus: number bonds to 10

Creative focus: drawing with wax crayons and creating a paint wash over top, making something for Mother's day, role play and small world based on Jack and the Beanstalk and the castle

Phonics - we are starting to revisit the phase 3 phonemes we introduced this term. This wek we will be looking at ng, ee and oa

Understanding the world - growing, finding out what a plant needs to grow

PE - please ensure PE kits are in school for Friday  - ball skills

PSED - settling back in, taking turns, sharing and speaking to and listening to others
