What an amazing start to Equal Trust’s very first Girls Can Code project!
Our pupils had a fantastic day at Nottingham Trent University’s Department of Computer Science, exploring robotics, virtual reality and state-of-the-art computing facilities before designing and coding their own retro-style arcade games.
Supported by Royal Society funding and volunteers from Microsoft and Suno, the girls became coders, designers and game testers — thinking carefully about what makes a game fun, challenging and engaging.
We are so proud of their creativity, teamwork and confidence. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see where their ideas take them next!
