On Monday 23rd June, Balfour Beatty came in to give year 5 an update on the bridge building for the new Trent Bridge footbridge. The children were presented a STEM challenge to make a bridge to span an artificial ‘river’ using straws, paper and masking tape. They did fantastically and all bridges passed the design brief!
