Exploring Dance in Nursery PE This Autumn
This autumn, our nursery class has started PE with an exciting focus on dance through the Get Set for PE programme. The children are learning all about how their bodies can move in different ways and how movement can be linked to music.
We’ve been exploring actions like jumping, turning, and stretching, and thinking about how we can move with control and confidence. The children have loved listening to different pieces of music and experimenting with moving fast, slow, high, and low to match the sounds they hear.
It’s wonderful to see their creativity shine as they begin to express themselves through dance. This unit is helping them develop coordination, rhythm, and a real sense of enjoyment in physical activity.
We can’t wait to see how their skills grow over the coming weeks!
