Carnival Day – A Burst of Colour and Fun!
This week, we joined in with our school’s Arts Week by hosting a very special Carnival Day – and what a fantastic celebration it was!
In the classroom, we explored vibrant colours and bold shapes through painting, letting our creativity shine. We also developed our collage skills by designing and decorating masks. Later, we combined these pieces to create stunning carnival-inspired artwork that truly captured the spirit of the day.
The fun didn’t stop there! We headed to the hall for some lively activities, including scarf dancing, exciting parachute games, and even a mini carnival-themed disco. The music and movement brought so much energy and joy – perfect for warming up on a chilly winter’s day!
To deepen our understanding, we looked at books and watched videos about how people celebrate carnivals around the world. It was wonderful to see the colours, costumes, and traditions that make these events so special.
Carnival Day was a brilliant way to celebrate the arts, learn new skills, and have fun together. Thank you to everyone who joined in and made it such a memorable experience!
