In our forces topic, we have been exploring the concept of friction and how different surfaces can create more friction and slow a moving object down. We have changed the surfaces on a ramp, rolled a car down the ramp and measured the distance that it travelled. We found that a rough surface, like a carpet, creates more friction than a smooth surface, like wood.
