This week in Year 4, we enjoyed a DT project where we designed and made our own torches! Using the scientific knowledge we gained during our Electricity unit, the children created working circuits and applied their understanding to make their torches light up. We were very impressed with their creativity, problem-solving skills and teamwork.

We also linked our learning to our Shell Structures unit by designing and making biscuit boxes. The children carefully considered how to make their structures strong, stable and appealing to customers.
