We then have an event with all of the Equals Trust taking part where we perform at the Nottingham Albert Hall

Heymann cookery club, meets every week on Mondays and Tuesdays after school from 3.20-5.30. It is run by Della Moore, a Food Education Consultant who has taught all over Nottingham and in Heymann school for many years.

At Cookery Club we try to be relaxed and make the courses fun for the children. We will get the most out of your child, transforming them in to a bright happy confident cook.

All ingredients are provided, so it’s easy for you too. All they need is an apron, tea-towel and a container.

Boys Year 5 & 6 football club is on a Thursday from 3.20-4.20pm

The club runs in the Autumn term until half term and then resumes in the second half term of Spring. The children learn a number of football skills as well as increasing their fitness. Some children from the club are selected for local and countywide games and tournaments.

The club is run by Mr Hill, Mr Arch and Mr Murray.

Girls’ Football Club

Wednesday 3.20 – 4.15pm

Girls’ Football Club is available to all Heymann girls in years 5 and 6 by Miss Penfold.

Girls’ football club is a great opportunity for girls to enjoy playing football without boys! The club has really grown over the last few years and is now a popular after school activity. The girls will be developing an understanding of the game, learning new skills and have an opportunity to play team games.

The club runs in the first half of the autumn term and starts again in the second half of spring term until the end of the summer Term. Some children from the club are selected for local and countywide games and tournaments.

Heymann Green Group are a small but dedicated group of pupils and staff who are passionate about our school grounds, sustainable living, recycling and growing food. There are children from each class – we meet every week and feed back Eco-issues to our classes.

We’ve looked at what Heymann do well and what we don’t do so well and are writing an action plan.

This term our focus is litter and recycling – do you know we already have recycle bins for; paper, plastic, metal, batteries, spectacles, milk lids, pens, stamps and clothes.

The gardening club also looks after our school allotment, growing a wide variety of crops which we look forward to selling at the end of the year. All profit made goes to new seeds for the following year.

Welcome to ICT club. ICT club is open to year 6 pupils and runs all year on a Thursday after school from 3.20-4:30.pm.  We take part in lots of fun and exciting project such as video, podcasts, animations, taking computers apart, visits to the West Bridgford School to use their equipment… and much more!

We have a number of music teachers from various outside providers who come into school to teach children during the school day. There is a charge for instrumental lessons.
